Two guitar tube amp questions…?
1. Does the lovely tube distortion sound come from overdriven preamp tubes or overdriven power tubes?
2. Do preamp tubes glow?
Pre-Amp Tubes, if you over drive your power amp it gets ugly.
All tubes glow when warm some brighter than others, at least from what I’ve seen
