Strap Tuner Acoustic Guitar
Beginning Guitar Tips?
I’m a 15 year old female. I have a fender acoustic guitar. I’ve had for maybe a month or two and haven’t really bothered trying to learn it just because I don’t know how to go about starting. I tried playing some songs off of ultimate-guitar.com, but it’s frustrating. I also tried watching this dvd that came with the guitar (along with some picks, a strap, a case, a tuner, one of those things to string the guitar and some other stuff). Should I try and use the dvd or get a book or something? Oh yeah, I don’t think my tuner is very good either, so should I get a better one? I’m not even sure if my guitar is in tune or not because the tuner sucks. xD
Thanks in advance for the answers :]
I got my guitar when i was 10, by the time I was 12, I could play almost all of the Metallica songs. I learned Eruption by Van Halen when I was 11.
I would reccomend these things.
1. Start with an electric guitar (but its ok if you want acustic)
2. DVD’s DONT WORK! The people arent actually there to give you advise or tell you if your doing it wrong, I would go to a descent guitar teacher for a couple years.
3. Get a book, but make sure it doesnt instantly start you out on chords. I highly reccomend Ernie Ball beginner book first.
4. Go over the book with your teacher if you have one.
5. Once you feel pretty good and comfortable with a guitar, start using easy tabs, like jingle bells even though its dorky. Its not easy to start instantly going into hard tabs.
6. Watch “how to play guitar” videos on you tube. Better than DVDs, and sometimes better than tabs.
7. Learn techniques like power chords and palm mutes.
8. Practice. (I practice 1/2 hour befor school, 2 after, and 1 after dinner.)
9. Make up songs once you get good
10. Don’t instantly expect to play good. It takes a lot of time and patients to learn guitar.
Do these in any order you want, but i reccomend doing them in the order provided. Just remember number 10, do not expect to be good the first year or so. But as long as you are patient and practice, you will be better than you expected before you know it.

The guitars shopping part choices for strings, would expand into a wide range of choices that would include classical strings, acoustic strings, bass strings, and a basic list of guitar strings that stretched a country mile. Depending on the wear and tear that your particular playing style places on the strings, you could choose to stock up on a 5-pack of classical or bass nylon strings, or choose to buy them in bulk in sets of 12.
If you were looking to replace your guitar bridges when you were considering guitars shopping part choices, then you could select bridge models like Floyd Rose Tremelo, Hardtail, Tune-O-matic or Telecaster. These replacement bridges would look quite elegant in gold, but the black coloring also looked very promising.
For a bass bridge replacement, you could choose between a Mono Bridge, a combo styled with a Bridge and Tailpiece styling, or even leave your options open to selecting a 4 String Bridge, 5 String Bridge, or 6 String Bridge if you wanted to.
For guitar shopping parts choices on the electronics level, the musician would have to consider buying battery boxes, jacks, switches, guitar single coils, guitar humbuckers, and potentiometers. For the Bass player, the considerations would be listed as Bass Single Coils, or a Bass humbuckers as the logical choices.
For fretting supplies, the guitars shopping part choices would have to include some fret wire for each of the acoustic, bass, and electric guitars used in a band. Quite a bit of hardware would have to be put on the list too. There would be a need for string ferrules, control plates, neck plates, and neck joint ferrules. The string retainers would definitely come in handy. The strap buttons and jack plates would complete the hardware list.
For guitars shopping parts choices for inlays, the remarkable low prices were really refreshing. The list contained pearl dots, which were an exquisite design, and checkmark shaped inlays that is a geometric marvel. The square inlays that were listed were fashioned only for use on a Les Paul Style of guitar, but with the low price it would be financially beneficial to everyone if a large number was placed on the list.
The guitars shopping parts choices still to consider included screws that would fit on the bridge strap button or the jack control plates. There were various tuner mounting screws and pickguard screws left to consider, with neckbolt screws and tremolo claw mounting taking the lead ahead of all of the parts choices to left to be considered for the bass player.
The nuts and saddles guitars shopping parts choices to consider were easy, because there locking nuts, roller nuts and guitar saddle nuts were presented in one spot. There were tuning keys on the list that included the Wilkinson brand for guitar and bass, and other non-branded tuning key choices. The guitars shopping part choices for pickguards included the Strat style, P-Bass, acoustic, backplates and Tele Styles models.
The last guitar shopping parts choices that you had to make was on the truss rods parts list and included the dual action truss rod, the single end-barrel truss rod and the U-Channel truss rod.
