2003 Epiphone elite standard plus?
i have a few questions…first of all, what do you think of my new guitar (ive had it maybe 2 months now) its a 2003 Epiphone elite standard plus. ive been playing for 6 months now and can someone tell me a good site or SOMETHING to help learn pinched harmonics. also i want to get a new amp soon…what direction should i go with that.
You can’t learn pinch harmonics from a site. You’ve probably already been playing them and don’t know.
Just brush the string with the knuckle of your thumb on your pick downstroke. “Pinch” simply refers to choking most of the vibration of the string, not an actual pinching-action. That should leave you with just the harmonic note.
Experiment with WHERE your thumb touches, you’ll get different sounds and you’ll find which spots work best.
Also, LOTS of distortion helps. (with everything).
