Will playing in both Standard and half step down tuning hurt guitar?
I’ve already asked 2 similar questions but this is a little bit different.
I got a Fender Standard Stratocaster that I just got a month ago (my first and only electric). I’ve been playing since May 15th and I love playing Red Hot Chili Peppers and Green Day songs. Alot of their songs are in E flat/half step down tuning and I really want to play them. I keep my guitar in standard tuning when I’m not using it.
Will tuning it down hurt my guitar?
Can I leave it in e flat tuning or should I always bring it back up to standard?

No, it doesn’t hurt the guitar at all, you can keep it in Eb and it would be fine. My guitars are tuned anywhere from E standard to B# and they’ve held up for years.
