Question about Linear Equations….?
OK, so when doing these, do you just pull any numbers out of your head that make the equation true? Thanks! I have looked over my notes, but since I do my college work online, I can’t ask my teacher.

You pull one number out of your head, and you find the second.
Example: y = 2x – 6
Notice since y is alone, it is easier to find this one, so make up what you want x to be. Let’s randomly choose for x to be 5. Substituting 5 into the equation, it becomes: y = 2(5) – 6. Thus, y = 4.
Answer: (5, 4)
You can choose x to be a different number. Simply substitute to find the y. Then you have the coordinate answer.
