shecter omen 6?good choice?
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Schecter-Omen-6-Electric-Guitar-101262830-i1149925.gc im considering getting that, im gonna use it for red hot chili peppers musicand stuff of funk rock, if i get it im gonna put some d’addario 9-42 prosteels on it, good idea?
well fenders arent quite made like they used to
The above poster is correct about Fender being more for RHCP stuff and schecterfor harder rock, but at this level, I think amp settings and pedals can basically shape the sound to how you want it.
It’s a decent guitar for a beginning to intermediate guitarist.
I love schecter, great choice in brand is one thing I’m gonna hand to you.
I’ve played the Omen 6 once before, and it felt pretty nice.
You should go into a guitar center and play one yourself before actually purchasing it. You can never know exactly how a guitar will sound and feel until you try one yourself.
One good thing about schecter is the Jumbo Frets. The frets are larger than normal, but contrary to popular belief, this actually makes playing easier, since you don’t accidentally touch other string as much.
Plus it’s an awesome color.
I’ve used d’addarios my whole life, but recently I switched to Ernie Balls. A lot of famous bands (I think RHCP is one of them) uses Ernie Balls.
